The first burn is the MOST important! Burn your candle long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt (about 2 - 4 hours depending on size). This helps prevent tunneling and ensures more of an even burn.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. This keeps the flame under control, reduces soot, and helps the candle last longer.
A little smoke when extinguishing is normal, but if your candle is smoking while burning, the wick may be too long or something may have dropped into candle wax. Remove any particles. Trim wick and avoid burning in a drafty area.
Tunneling happens when the wax near the wick (the center) melt, but the edges doesn't. This usually means the first burn wasn't long enough. Burn long enough next time to allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the vessel.
In order for a wooden wick to stay lit, keep the wooden wick very short and trimmed often. If the wooden wick extinguishes itself that means the wick is too long and needs to be trimmed. To trim a wooden wick cut the wick with a wick trimmer, scissors or burn the tip of the wick, extinguish it, let it cool and then break the tip off with your fingers.
We recommend burning for no more than 4 hours at a time. Let it cool completely before relighting to avoid overheating or wax overflow.
This could be due to a wick that's too long or burning in a breezy area. Trim the wick and move the candle away from vents, fans, or open windows.
Absolutely! Once the wax is gone, clean the jar with warm soapy water or freeze it to pop out leftover wax. Reuse it for storage, plants, or other DIY projects. We also offer, refill options at a discounted price.
That's called frosting, and it's common with natural waxes such as soy wax. It does not affect performance - just a natural sign of a handmade candle.
This can happen when the wax cools at different rates or due to natural air pockets. It's totally normal and doesn't impact how the candle burns.
You get to create your very own candle from start to finish! That includes choosing your vessel, picking scents, blending fragrance, pouring the wax, and customizing your label. We will guide you through every step - NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
We recommend making a reservation to ensure you can enjoy our candle and beauty bar, as we may occasionally host private events. Walk-ins are always welcome when space is available!

Yes, but we recommend letting your candle cure for at least 5 days before burning up to 14 days. If you're unable to stay while candle is solidifying, you can leave it with us to finish setting and pick it up later (or have it shipped for a small fee).
Yes - for kids 10 and up with adult supervision (NOT allowed during "Sip n' Pours"... MUST be 21 years of age or older with valid ID). We use hot wax and heat tools, so younger children will need hands-on help from a guardian.

We do offer ethically sourced mica powder colors and liquid candle dyes that are 100% vegan and cruelty free to be added into your candle for a splash of color.
